Marvin and Anita keep a low profile on the Internet, except for their Web site at http://mazatlanpropertygroup.com, but we had read letters from several people who had specific comments about how well they treated their customers and the extra services they provided. In the first hour we learned a ton of good information about the neighborhoods and the specific properties we were interested in. They promptly set up appointments to view the properties for the next morning.

There were houses we could plunk our money down and move into the next day but either the price wasn't right or it was too far from the beach. After much back and forth between Nancy and I we decided on one house that would need some fixing up and some other matters dealt with. One of these matters was serious and it is only because Marvin and his architect took time on short notice to go research the matter and come up with a solution we could live with could we pull together the deal. Anita ram-rodded the paperwork through the system and we completed the transaction in the tight timetable we had due to work and family matters.

No real estate agent I have ever met in the US or Mexico has come even close to the providing the technical, legal and even moral support to work through a difficult transaction. Both Marvin and Anita were patient and understanding and let us work our way through our important decision. They answered a ton of questions, some pretty silly now that I look back on it, but never were they not there with their support and Marvin laughed with us, not at us. They never imposed their opinion on us but just fed us the facts and explained the trade-offs we were facing. And we came out the other end feeling like we had done the right thing and are very excited about moving forward with remodeling and moving into our new Mazatlán home.

Marvin knows all the rules of the road and was able to foresee the bumps beforehand as a foreigner himself, he was able to explain the differences in real estate between Canada, USA and Mexico. His excellent judgment and common sense cut down on wasted time at looking at properties that did not fit our needs, his expertise in construction made us feel very confident when scrutinizing any house.

She holds the fortress, corner Venus and Sixto Osuna in Centro Historico. Her efficient coordination and communication skills freed us from a whole range of time consuming responsibilities allowing us to concentrate on finding the right place.

Anita was pointing out the historical significance of any sculpture, plazuela, mercado, basilica, street or casas in her beloved native Sinaloa state. Her precious knowledge helped shape our decision to buy a house in the right LOCATION. Her excellent communications skills in both English and Spanish helped smooth the way… ALL THE WAY!

They say if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Not in the case of Marvin & Mazatlan Property Group. They are to good to be true! Any fears or misgivings we had about buying property in Mexico were quickly dispelled & forgotten after the first day of working with them. Every step of the process was explained. As stressful as house hunting & buying in your own country can be, imagine doing it in a foreign country. The whole process was made easier with the professionalism & caring of the whole group, Marvin, Anita & Gisela. Even after the closing our questions & needs have been attended to in a prompt & efficient manner. If we ever need to find another home we won't even think of going to anyone else.

Marvin really made our stay easy and wonderful. He welcomed us and made sure we had everything we needed. When we arrived, he gave us a little neighborhood orientation, including the locations of the best markets.

When we were first looking for a rental, I sent an email to many companies in Mazatlan. Mazatlan Property Group responded promptly. They were happy to meet all of our needs, including accommodating our two large dogs, and they did it on very short notice. The house we rented from Mazatlan Property Group exceeded our expectations. It was roomy, fully furnished and equipped, and had a little back yard for the dogs.

The kitchen had everything anyone would need to cook and serve a meal. It had all of the basics like food processor, mixer, and blender, but also had some more gourmet tools like a ricer. The house came with satellite TV and broadband internet. We were able to plug in our Vonage box and have our home telephone number there with us.

We loved the backyard. It was landscaped with bougainvillea and fruit trees. The grill was great to have too. It was a very nice place to sit and enjoy ourselves.

The entire staff at Mazatlan Property Group was very warm and helpful. They helped us find laundry service, gave us directions, and Marvin even came very quickly to our aid when we managed to lock ourselves out. I will definitely rent from Mazatlan Property Group when I return to Mazatlan.
